Estimating Boxes Required for Your Move :: Use our box Estimator Chart based on the size of your home for a quick estimate of how many boxes you may need.

Estimating Space Required for Your Belongings :: To help you determine what size unit you need for your stuff you can use our SPACE CALCULATOR

Determine the packing accessories you need: paper, bubble-pack, tape, rope, drop cloths, polyurethane sheeting, furniture covers, pallets, skids, dehumidifiers, file boxes and storage cartons. Most, or all, of these items are carried in our rental offices. Fill containers to capacity; partially full or bulging cartons may tip or collapse. Heavy items, such as books or tools, should be packed in small boxes so they are easy to lift.

Protect your fragile goods with packing (i.e. bubble-pack, peanuts or other), and place them near the top of your storage space. Label boxes. Make a list of the labeled boxes for easy reference when you need to locate your goods. A good system is to use numbers as well as the name of the room/office the boxes will eventually go into.

Pack the storage space carefully. Leave air space around the perimeter to aid ventilation.

If you will be using the space frequently to add or remove items, leave space to be able to get to frequently used items or store them close to the door. Racks and/or Shelving may be placed in units to aid organization.

Prohibited Storage Goods - DON'T PACK!
Common sense and state laws determine what may be stored. You alone control access to your storage space; therefore, never store live animals, perishables, liquids, explosives, flammable liquids and fuels, toxic materials, or other item that need a controlled environment. Always drain the fuel from gasoline engines before storage.
